In 2021, coaxial perforation technology was field-tested in 13 wells across South Yuryakhinskoye and other oilfields in Russia. Results demonstrated significant production enhancement in all 6 evaluated production wells: 4 wells achieved daily production increases of 5.2-6.5 tons, while 2 wells recorded substantial gains of 40-58.8 tons per day. The production intensity from coaxial perforation exceeded conventional methods by 1.2 to 4 times. This technology shows particular potential for application in carbonate formations and low-permeability reservoirs prior to fracturing operations.
