In May 2018, a limestone well in the Hunton formation (North America) showed zero oil production even after acidizing. However, when recompleted with coaxial perforation technology followed by acidizing in September of the same year, the well achieved an oil production rate of 16 barrels per day. This demonstrates the significant effectiveness of coaxial perforation technology in enhancing productivity in challenging shale oil and gas formations.
Coaxial perforation technology has been deployed in over 5,000 oil and gas wells across multiple major basins in China, including Northern Shaanxi, Sichuan, Xinjiang, Gansu, Qinghai, and Northeast China. Field results demonstrate significant production enhancement, with notably reduced fracture pressure observed in tight gas and shale oil applications. The technology has been widely adopted by leading industry players including CNPC, CNOOC, and CNLC.
